Rattlesnake Canyon™ focuses on maximizing sales performance in a market scenario characterised by competition, rapid pace and tight deadlines. Participants learn how to look beyond their current environment and commit their resources to the potential of "what could be". They also discover the benefits of building effective sales and distribution partnerships. Participants achieve an understanding of throughput of both goods and services and an appreciation for the value of less tangible resources such as ideas, information and trust.
This highly interactive program addresses the issues surrounding effective partnering and its impact on results. With changing marketplace needs, participants assess and respond quickly to meet stringent deadlines. Several measurement vehicles within Rattlesnake Canyon serve to demonstrate the result of aligning personal and team initiatives with corporate direction to maximize results.
The Experience
The Settlers and Merchants of Rattlesnake Canyon have been offered a challenging proposition. The locals have four weeks to secure all the materials necessay to build a railroad as well as a camp for workers. This fast-paced, powerful program forces participants to face the challenges and rewards of real market scenarios. As the sounds and sights of the great frontier surround them, participants maximize profit through a series of buying and selling transactions where rapid turnover is the key.
Key Learnings
During the debrief, particpants focus on the value and synergies of establishing strong partnerships based on trust, quality and efficiency. They discuss the pressures of operating in a rapidly changing and highly competitive marketplace, working with limited funds and managing throughput. The challenges of optimising profitability, meeting tight deadlines and dealing with a constant flow of information during the program are linked back to particiipants' real-world experiences.
